Hospitality Manager Level 4

This Level 4 Apprenticeship is designed for Hospitality managers that work across a huge variety of organisations including bars, restaurants, cafés, conference centres, banqueting venues, hotels and contract caterers. These managers generally specialise in a particular area, however their core knowledge, skills and behaviours are aligned. Common to all managers in this role is their passion for exceeding customers’ expectations.

Hospitality managers have a high level of responsibility and are accountable for fulfilling the business vision and objectives which requires excellent business, people and customer relation skills. Individuals in this role are highly motivated team leaders that combine a talent for management and specific industry skills and thrive on the customer facing nature of the role.

Who is this Apprenticeship suited for?

This Apprenticeship is designed for learners in a range of Hospitality based roles, including:

· Hospitality
· Hotel / Housekeeping / Bar / Catering / Restaurant Manager
· Events Manager


The minimum duration of this Apprenticeship is 12 months, however this will typically take 18 months to complete.

Employer Commitment

Employers must be prepared to provide the learner with the opportunity to carry out work, learning and be part of projects which will support and enable the learner to produce substantial evidence towards their qualification.

To support Apprenticeship achievement, we request that employers play a hands-on role throughout the duration, participating in joint reviews at regular intervals. We also encourage employers to actively engage with the Apprentice and ourselves to discuss progress, identify any additional learning or potential issues or concerns that may arise.

Previous supervisory experience is recommended. Apprentices must achieve Level 2 Functional Skills Maths & English prior to taking the end-point assessment unless they can provide proof of exemption (GCSE Equivalent A* & C).
