Passenger Transport Driver Level 2

This Level 2 Apprenticeship standard for the Passenger Transport Driver is designed for Apprentices in passenger-based transport roles. It is a great opportunity to acquire the skills, knowledge and behaviours that play a role in providing a high quality, accessible and safe passenger transport service to all customers.

Duties of a Passenger transport Driver will include the effective and efficient operation of a passenger transport vehicle, driving legally and safely with a high attention to detail and prioritising the safety of passengers and the public.

Who is this Apprenticeship suited for?

This Apprenticeship standard is designed for learners in a range of passenger transport
roles, including:

· Bus/Minibus Drivers
· Coach Drivers

Our Offer

As a reflection of our commitment in adding value to training for our employers and partners, we are able to provide all Apprentices who enrol onto the programme, 35 hours of CPC training. This is gradually delivered throughout the duration.

Employer Commitment

Employers must be prepared to provide the learner with the opportunity to carry out work, learning, and be part of projects which will support and enable the learner to produce substantial evidence towards their qualification.

To support Apprenticeship achievement, we request that employers play a hands-on role throughout the duration, participating in joint reviews at regular intervals. We also encourage employers to actively engage with the Apprentice and ourselves to discuss progress, identify any additional learning or potential issues or concerns that may arise.

Eligibility

A full UK Driving license with a Class D entitlement is required to enrol onto this Apprenticeship. A minimum achievement of Maths and English Functional skills to a Level 1 standard is required before undertaking the End-point assessment. Level 2 for Maths and English should also be attempted.
